Dr Martin Cohen is the clinical lead for the team. Apart from his role at ProCare, Dr Cohen also serves as Deputy Commissioner for the Mental Health Commission of NSW; Board Member of Hunter New England Health; Board Member of the Hunter Medical Research Institute; and Conjoint Associate Professor for the University of Newcastle.

NICK SOVECHLES - CHAIRMAN PROCARE / HPCA
Nick Sovechles is the Chairman of ProCare Alliance and has extensive experience in Board Governance and Leadership. He is committed to the work of organisations in the health and community services sector and believes that basic precepts of good governance are fundamental to all not-for-profit organisations. These include having a board charter, well defined roles and responsibilities for board members, appropriate financial knowledge, and accountability and transparency to members, and stakeholders.
Nick is the current Managing Director of PROticket Pty Ltd, and has had over 25 years experience in the ticketing and marketing industry. He is also the Managing Director of Level 7 Advertising, and is Managing Director of Printic Promotions. He also has had previous history in funds management and in investment securities.
GARRY LEO - DIRECTOR PROCARE / HPCA
Garry has been a member of the Board of Directors of HPCA since early 2009. He is a retired Club Manager with a banking and finance background. Garry is the current President of the Newcastle Branch of Men of League Foundation and a life member of the Balmain Tigers RLFC where Garry played from 1963 to 1974 before accepting a Captain Coach position to play in Newcastle.
Garry has recently been appointed to the board of directors of Balmain Tigers Football Club and Leagues Club and is the current Vice President of Merewether Golf Club. He is married to Carol with three children and seven grandchildren. Garry’s interests include golf, watching rugby league, reading and taking the dog for a walk.
MICHAEL HAGAN - DIRECTOR PROCARE / HPCA
Current Team Manager NRL Australian Kangaroos & Former Premiership winning Knights coach.
He currently works as an assistant coach under Mal Meninga for the Australian rugby league team as well as commentates as part of the KOFM team during Knights games. A Queensland State of Origin representative half, he played his club football in Australia with Canterbury-Bankstown (with whom he won the 1988 and 1985 premierships) and Newcastle (whom he captained), as well as in England with Halifax. He went on to have a successful coaching career with Newcastle (winning the premiership with them in 2001) and Parramatta, and was also selected to coach the Queensland Maroons for two State of Origin series before becoming Meninga's assistant coach. Hagan was inducted into the Newcastle Knights Hall of Fame in April, 2012.
CARY LEE - CEO PROCARE / HPCA
Born and raised in Newcastle, Cary is passionate about the local community and supporting local causes. With over 10 years in management roles in local not for profits, he has been CEO of ProCare/HPCA for over 6 years. During his time, the team have made a tremendous impact of the financial sustainability, community profile, and strategic direction of the organisation. Most importantly, we have dramatically increased the number of people we have helped inform and empower through difficult times.
He has also been involved in the community as president of the United Nations Association of Australia (Hunter Branch); guest speaker to local schools promoting peace and youth empowerment; author of a children’s book about Harmony Day; and a life member of the Newcastle and Hunter Valley Chinese Association.
